What’s New In ACS Password Guardian?
ACS Password Guardian is a plugin for ACF.
ACF allows you to create forms with input fields and you can choose what user types should be required and the default value.
ACF can allow users to register, register-in or login using one of the following Auth methods:
Laravel’s Default Auth
Facebook’s Login Form
Any other standard Auth methods you may have
The users information can then be stored in several ways, on your end and theirs.
So if you are registered, you can either login to the site using the LTA Auth or have your users register with their Facebook account, to login to the site, they just need to enter their facebook username and password.
If you are NOT registered, users are given the option to sign up with their Facebook account or sign up using their email address and login to the site using their facebook username and password.
ACF includes a method for configuring what should be sent/retrieved to and from facebook.
It’s also possible for users to register using more than one method, they can sign up with their Facebook account and enter their email address to register themselves, which will be sent to you so that you can have someone else register their facebook account.
So the question is, with ACF can you have the users sign up with one method and then the users login to the site using the other method?
The answer to that question is NO.
What I suggest doing is the following:
A. Allow users to sign up only using Facebook
B. When they login to the site, always provide them with the ability to login with their Facebook account
