Equip a Token that has the same weapon and you’ll be able to exchange the stats of your Token.
For example, if you have a dagger with a token, the dagger gains 1,000 Strength.

The game is broken beyond repair by the moment of implementation of the “chronicle” system, where a regular player-character that is level 20 (meaning when they win their level 20 title, it’s supposed to count as level 20 credits to stat up) will level up to level 40 with no effort, while any player-character just reaching level 20 will be missing out.
The “crowd-based” search feature is simply broken in the sense that you can no longer target individuals based on the character you’re searching for, and having the game support two simultaneous search results is not a fantastic system if one or the other falls through.
As to the game itself, it’s a great mechanic that can actually make a difference, but the “colorful” graphics look great, but since the characters’ faces are almost all angled, it’s very difficult to tell if a woman is actually a woman or simply a fox mask.
The character designs aren’t actually all that memorable, and it’s not like this is a “coming of age” story where you’re being hunted by a king, so in the end, it’s just a big game.
All in all, it’s still a worthwhile investment because of its mechanics, but it’s very unclear why Square Enix wants to keep it alive as a commercial product when they’re just going to sell it at a premium.
UPDATE: The game goes back to being non-upgradable after they fix the game-breaking “chronicle” system that’s not a part of the game but instead a major part of the game in its own world, yet the game itself still isn’t very good.
So basically, their best record up to this point (based on the game itself) was a game that’s mostly mediocre and has a massive awkward romance between two of the heroes, but that has a dragon-like cat that isn’t only an artifact that has known to us what side it’s on all throughout a plot that seems to just be a bunch of setup for that plot, and now they’re going to be selling it in a premium edition like some kind of weird premium edition.
Maybe I’m being too harsh here, but this was actually the most glaring example of where the company is on its feet, but all of a sudden, when it comes to something where the game has absolutely no bearing on the company and no depth at all that any of us can understand,
