Welcome to Wanderland! This is a real nostalgic 2D platformer for nostalgic gamers. Some may even call it a spiritual successor to River City Ransom. Play as the Inkling, a young boy who lost his girlfriend to a wizard. You try and restore his hometown of Wanderland to its former glory by solving puzzles and overcoming multiple obstacles.
Having only just joined the Inklings, you begin in the first world and are given the task to avoid the town bullies, the witch’s guards and the monsters in search of ‘Wanderland’s treasures’. Defeat the Witch and see what the secrets of Wanderland are, but don’t let her catch you!
The game begins to unpack what exactly Wanderland represents. The concept of it’s being your own city that’s a main setting, where you’re the main character, is quite interesting and interesting to navigate. It takes a lot of the frustrations out of Mario because you’re the one controlling this whole city. That’s something else, Mario having the goomba’s in Koopa-Team do all of his dirty work. Wanderland brings a lot of that hand-to-hand combat back, as well as the powerups and more defensive/offense abilities.
Aside from this, the game feels right. The platforming feels right. The sound, and music all really fit the game. We tried to make Wanderland a 3D game, and we’ve now found a way to do that but still make it 2D which means not only that the old fond memories make the game even better, but also that we are looking at the future of this genre in a visually interesting way. So when you lose, you lose as a 2D game but all you’ve lost is your graphics.
The Inkling & The World
The world of Wanderland is about 3 times bigger than River City Ransom. This means that you can now get more puzzles, more enemies and more platforms for a lot of other skills to use in the game. You’ve got your auto-scrolling platforms as a mechanic in River City Ransom, but here they are a battle mechanic for using in the world. These are like the hearts of your good-natured dragon. Polyville Canyon has no artificial speed-ups, limited timers, countdown clock, or any of the other “city builder mechanics” that force you to rush, beat a clock, or manage micro-management.
Once you build everything you want to build, you can even delete your city in the Sandbox to start a new city!
Train tickets are at one of your cities, and you’ll earn a share of the ticket prices every time the ticket is used. As your city grows and earns more in ticket prices, so will you. As you earn a higher share of the ticket prices, so will you be able to afford new things to build! This is similar to how real businesses operate, where you get to earn a return on your investment! The more income you earn, the more you can spend to build more stuff! The more stuff you build, the more tickets you make! The more tickets you make, the more the neighbors will enjoy being there! Keep the Neighbors happy and your city will grow and grow!

It is believed that the physical appearance of the Squisher was designed to impress the townspeople, but this was never meant to be its real form. Instead, the Squisher is a memento of the original beast, whom the people worshipped in the past. The cult has brought back the Squisher to deal with the townspeople, even if its presence seems to just bring more harm.

Also unlike almost every other commercial pose-based animation program on the market at the moment, all your objects can be placed in infinite poses simultaneously in addition to their already infinite canvas. Place an object in any desired position and it’s position will be saved when the program is quitted in the same position. Just like that. No moving back into a panel that was misformatted or accidentally deleted off the canvas.
“Canvas” here refers to the actual iPad canvas. The ability to place multiples of the same object in infinite positions has also given rise to one of the many dynamic pose rendering systems in the new app. Select a current pose of an object, and the next 3 times the same object is placed in the same pose, the program will essentially undraw the same pose of the object, and redraw for you in the next 3 positions.

Definitely a AAA quality game. I don’t even own a htc vive but bought this, if you have any problem, it’s possibly that youre not using the vive properly. I never got motion sickness. The balls feel different and the pole hits feel much better when hitting the ball. The knockoffs and kills feel way better than any other game I’ve played and if you get beat you don’t move your head and go back to your spot and play over again. The game is very fun and great for people who like ping pong. If you enjoy real ping pong this is the best VR ping pong game out there.
