Old bug, but still here for now
I am pleased that the issue I had with this was cleared up. It took 2 days but in the end, getting to the bottom of the issue was the quickest way to get it taken care of. No complaints whatsover. The new strategy to have human NPCs ask you to leave for a period of time can be annoying at times, but I understand that it was to test out the new features before releasing. The choice to reduce the cost for the original version of the game may have come back to bite them as this old beta no longer shows up. It is a well known fact that posts on old versions of internet boards are not taken into account by Steam, so never mind. I guess once people are trained to leave, this should be no longer a problem.
Gameplay:
The game plays absolutely wonderfully at any pace you may choose. I was able to race through in about 3 hours of gameplay and still have many things left to discover. It’s really a nice feeling to go through content without feeling bogged down by the inability to keep up with everyone. This is my 5th game with this team and this is the first time I have had a chance to experience the entire thing. I could go through nearly all the side content in the game without stopping.
System
The gameplay itself is just wonderful and comes very close to my favorite game, FFXIV. Character movement, camera, and control work very well and have a lot of small things that make the game very pleasurable to play. Everything meshes together very well and the character models and design work really well together as well. The graphics on the game are absolutely gorgeous. The character models are some of the best I have seen in a long time. While the game initially launched with character data and equipment data, a lot has been added to the equipment system since and it feels incredibly robust. It is very much a 3rd person action game, even with camera and direction input abilities.
Interface
The interface is a mixed bag. On the one hand it is very user friendly and well designed. The Steam interface is basically almost identical to the PS4’s XMB interface, which is very helpful if you are not familiar with the Steam interface. The problem is that the character creation interface is poorly designed. It is essentially a full screen interface with one text box and one drop down menu. It will be very helpful when speaking to other players
