I will use Jampa on my netbook at the office when on Linux. I have been using it on my old laptop for a while. It’s a nice music player, but I had to fix several things on it before it could do what I wanted.
That is a really neat feature. I tried using a one list style a few times back when I was looking for good functional music players. I just couldn’t get the right mix of good features and what I was looking for.
I might have to try that. I’m not sure I’ll get to using playlists though. I’m really not a big fan of browsing my music, I prefer to find a song and then play it.
I use Openbox on my netbook at work and at home when I can’t get net connect. I don’t really care if it’s a playlist style or not as long as the features are there. The one I tried was outstanding from what I can remember. At the time I could only remember one thing that was missing though and it’s been in my list of features to add to it.
You are some sort of god,Riddim. I can’t find such easy to configure one for my purposes. Jampa is the only one that I can see that gets that right. I use XMMS, but it is too complex for me. Jampa does not even make sense in the most complex usage: when I listen to the same song on various p2p servers with various quality of service, with the ability to change the file, and at the same time change the quality on the spot, etc., it is not a simple task. Jampa is simple. I can even play all those songs at once, and have them all selected for listening, from the same computer in the same windows.
