The Firefall team has done a fabulous job creating a solid and fun game. Gameplay and design make it feel like a legitimate RPG, but with a nice blend of action and adventure. I particularly like the fact that the game actually values the story and characters over the leveling up process. There are so many RPG systems on offer here, with things like skill points, attribute rating, stamina, loot, and even the crafting system creating a constantly changing experience. Firefall is a fun game that will take at least 50-100 hours to complete. There are dozens of quests, and you’ll have to plan for the long haul. But once the main story is wrapped up, it’s the best sort of game to just play from now on.

Firefall is finally here and it’s everything we hoped it would be. Firefall is a big, bold action game with a narrative that I personally found to be more engaging and cohesive than anything I’ve played in a long while. On top of that, the four-player co-op is perfectly balanced and more than the sum of its parts. It’s been a long wait, but this is one hell of a game.
