Your equipment will have a competitive effect on your gameplay.
Gear in Dark Forest is not randomly distributed, but instead will be scattered in a map wherein the amount of gear you have will have a considerable impact on your gameplay.
The amount of time it takes to obtain gear will increase the further you are from the center of the map.
There are four levels of gear, each with varying amounts of power:
